With a cost of R$ 1,5 million (U$ 700 mil), the Brazilian resources were gathered through the incentive laws from the Ministério da Cultura (Ministry of Culture) - Audiovisual Law and Rouanet. Law. The European investment represented approximately 50% of the cost for the production of the film.
