The vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and "architect" of sound André Abujamra, before putting together the Karnak band, participated in the duo Mulheres Negras (The Negro Women) with Maurício Pereira. In 1992, he put together the musicians that formed the pop band that is alive until this day: Karnak. He became the creative director for the group and has received many awards in Brazil and overseas.
